Ooooops I ADD'd again.

My bad, I forgot about my blog . . . shit happens. And that shit being:

-Broke up with boyfriend (wooo!)
-Moved into new apartment with new roomies (double wooo!)
-Went traveling (triple wooo!)
-Got promoted (HOORAY!)

So hopefully I will be updating every day until I catch myself up (but I wouldn't put any money on that). Here we go:

Old Orchard Beach, ME (OOB!)

Pier Fries. Nice and hot. You add your own salt (BONUS!) and vinegar. Like super fresh salt/vinegar chips . . . yummy!

BeerWorks
61 Brookline Avenue
Boston, MA 02215
617.536.BEER (HAHAHA, yes)

112 Canal Street
Boston, MA 02114
617.896.BEER

I have been to both locations many a time. I freaking LOVE LOVE LOVE the BeerWorks! Their food is god damn fabulous. I'm addicted to their burgers and sweet potato fries, seriously, I crave them at all times. They also make their own beer which is by far the best I've ever had from a restaurant chain (sorry BJ's). If its summer (or early fall) get the Watermelon Beer and the rest of the year get their Berry Cider. My broham and I watched the opening World Series game at the one on Canal after a Bruins game and had an amazing time (despite the long wait).

Pho Pasteur
682 Washington St
Boston, MA
617-482-7467

or

Le's Restaurant
137 Brighton Ave
Allston, MA
617-783-2340
*basically Vietnamese food in general

Vermicelli bowls with fresh spring rolls and Peanut/Hoisin sauce. Fucking spectacular and filling. I've had them with pork, crispy spring rolls, beef, etc and they have all been wonderful. And cheap! $6-$7 for a vat of noodles and yumminess. My roommate Neal (and most of my coworkers) are obsessed with traditional beef pho (noodle soup) and while its pretty tasty (and equally cheap), I am addicted to the vermicelli bowls. I eat at either of these places at least twice a week, if not more.

Figaro's
105 Beach St
Boston, MA 02111
617-426-2121

Did someone say BEST SANDWICHES EVER?! Yes. Turkey BLT on a Sesame ("squishy") roll = HEAVEN. Warning: probably not the best to eat at work because it will put you into a food coma, but you know me, I like to live on the edge.

Bukowski's
50 Dalton St
Boston, MA 02115
671-437-9999

Supposedly has amazing sweet potato fries. I was not impressed, at all. Its tiny (about 5 tables), WAY out of the way, expensive, only accept cash, and the burgers suck. Eff that place.

Kashmir
279 Newbury St, Boston
617-536-1695

I should have listened to my Indian friend, this place is definitely not worth the price. Its quite expensive ($15+ for a tiny entree) and the food is quite bland. I love my lamb curries but the lamb korma here was a big dissappointment. The outdoor patio and prime Newbury (aka "people watching") location was nice though.

Joe's American Grille
279 Dartmouth St, Boston
617-536-4200

Good location (another Newbury St. patio), decent clam chowder in a bread bowl, and well-priced (for lunch at least). The best thing about this restaurant is that when they bring you bread . . . they bring you an entire loaf and its oh so good. Sadly, the broham and I went here for dinner a month later and the waiter was AWFUL, the food was so-so, and the menu (while the food didn't really changed) had jumped up about $10 per dish. Wow, a chicken caesar for $15? Must be the best salad EVER. Wait, what is this limp salad with cold chicken? Ew.

And that concludes Part 1, more later :)

xoxo Gossip Girl . . . I mean, what?
