Oh yes. More fun in Portland. Before I begin, I need to make a correction. The Norm's listed in a previous post is actually called The Downtown Lounge and is located at 606 Congress St, Portland, ME 04101 (207) 773-1363. But worry not! I ate at Norm's this weekend :)
Norm's Bar & Grille (the REAL one)
Kevin, his friend Dug, and myself all ordered the steak sandwich. That should say enough. SOOOO yummy. The cheese was perfectly melted and I believe it came with mushrooms (Dug added grilled onion which I didn't think of, dammit). Their fries were damn tasty as well. I'm usually not a fan of seasoned fries but these were mighty fine. I also ordered a hot fudge sundae . . . it was HUGE. I didn't even come close to finishing it. But lets be honest, most deserts are just vehicles to get more whip cream into my mouth. I don't even like ice cream that much. But I refuse to be THAT person who orders a bowl of whip cream covered in chocolate sauce with cherry on top . . . I'll save that for when I'm home alone.
Becky's Diner
390 Commercial St.

Most of my high school years were spent in the back corner booth at the Denny's on Steele Lane, ordering pancakes, chicken strips, and 8 waters :) Becky's is the place Denny's wished it was but will never be. Its located right on the water and you better get there early because EVERYONE loves Becky's. The first time I went to Becky's (last November) I ordered an omelette. Their omelettes are huge and the home fries and toast are exactly what you wanted. This time I ordered the french toast. AMAZING! Everything is pretty cheap too and breakfast is served all day (of course). I wouldn't recommend Becky's if its 10am and you're hung-over (you'll be waiting for awhile). But at about 1pm, its pretty easy to get a booth.
On Sunday, Jenni and I went to the Olive Garden :D You can never go wrong with breadsticks, salad, and delicious pasta.
